• Exit planning is the process of preparing a business — operationally, financially, and personally —ready for a successful transition or sale, so the owner exits on their own terms and with a plan for what comes next.

What is business value building?

• Value building (or value acceleration) is the practice of identifying and strengthening the specific factors that make a business more valuable and easier to transfer to a new owner, so it commands a stronger price when the owner is ready to sell or transition.

• Most engagements begin with a Readiness Assessment — an evaluation of the business, the owner's finances, and personal goals — to establish a clear starting point before building a roadmap. Fortivida also offers a free Value Builder Assessment as a low-commitment first step (see below).

Who is Kristi Sanger?

• Kristi Sanger is co-owner and lead value advisor at Fortivida Consulting and holds the CEPA credential. She brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in healthcare resilience, business continuity, and risk planning, previously co-founding and leading the Association of Healthcare Emergency Preparedness Professionals (AHEPP) and working with the University of Nebraska Medical Center's Center for Preparedness and Response Solutions.

Who is Shawn Sanger?

• Shawn Sanger is co-owner of Fortivida Consulting and Managing Partner at Arvada Wealth. He holds both the Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA) and Certified Private Wealth Advisor® (CPWA®) designations, and built his career in financial services at firms including Smith Barney and Wells Fargo Advisors before helping found Arvada Wealth. He holds a degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
